Soya Sauce is one of the world’s oldest condiments. It has been an essential ingredient in Chinese cookery for over 2500 years. Developed as an alternative to meat-based sauces, it is made from fermented soya beans and roasted mixed grains. Its took six months to mature from the wet nature fermentation in the storage tanks, raw sauce will need to mix with some others ingredients for cooking before it come into the finally state for bottling.


Whilst soya sauce has been used for many centuries in Asia, it did not reach the western world until the 17th century until Dutch traders, enamored with its saltiness, bought it home to Europe. Today, soya sauce is the key item in pantries throughout the world. It is used to season and flavor many different kinds of dished from stir-fries to noodles to tempura to soup.

Chuen Cheong Food Industries (Pte) Ltd has been manufacturing and distributing quality Soya Sauce, Chilli Sauce & other condiments under the “Tiger Brand” Label to consumers in Singapore since1930. Its’ product include Light & Dark Soya Sauce, Salted Soya Beans, Chilli Sauce, Tomato Sauce, Oyster Sauce, Vinegar etc.

Soya Sauce is made using recipes that have been handed down from generations using traditional fermentation method, use only best grade ingredients to maintain quality and to produce its condiments. With its own manufacturing plant and facilities, the company can control production and can perform product research and development, ensuring products of the highest quality.

In line with increased export demand, the company has changed its packaging from glass bottle to Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) plastic bottles in 1985, which make its sauce easier to export and reduce the risk of broken glass.
